Merino.tech women's clothing is made from superfine 17.5-micron Australian merino wool: soft enough to wear next to the skin all day, warm without bulk and naturally odour-resistant. It is the fabric of choice for walking, skiing, yoga, travel and staying comfortable in a chilly British house.

For cold days, choose a women's merino thermal set or build your own from base layer tops and merino thermal leggings. 165gsm is ideal for active days and layering, 250gsm midweight covers most winter plans and 320gsm heavyweight is for real cold.

What is the warmest women's merino base layer?

Our 320gsm heavyweight tops, leggings and sets are the warmest, designed for very cold weather and low-activity days outdoors. For most winter walks, ski holidays and cold commutes, a 250gsm midweight base layer gives the best balance of warmth and breathability.

Can I wear merino base layers as everyday clothes?

Yes. Our scoop neck, V-neck and turtleneck tops look like regular long sleeve tops and T-shirts, so you can wear them to work or on holiday and still enjoy merino's warmth and odour resistance.

Is merino wool good for sensitive skin?

Our superfine merino is soft and non-itchy, and many women who cannot wear ordinary wool find it comfortable next to the skin. It is also breathable, which avoids the clammy feel of synthetic thermals.
