Our merino has a close, next-to-skin fit by design. If you are between sizes, stay true to size for base-layer use or size up for a more relaxed everyday fit. Free returns within 30 days, so ordering two sizes and sending one back is completely fine.
How to measure
Chest — around the fullest part of your chest, with the tape level under the arms.
Waist — around your natural waistline, with the tape comfortably loose.
Hips — around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
Inside leg — from the top of your inner thigh to your ankle bone.

THE FABRIC
Why merino wool
Merino wool moves sweat away from your skin as vapour and lets it evaporate from the fabric, so you stay dry and comfortable whether you are hiking, commuting or skiing.
Merino fibres naturally resist the bacteria that cause odour, so you can wear a base layer for several days, on the trail or while travelling, and it still smells fresh.
Wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet. In damp British weather it keeps insulating where cotton and polyester leave you cold.
Merino absorbs UV radiation: our lightweight layers offer UPF 25 and the midweight and heavyweight options UPF 50+, handy on long days in the hills.
Merino wool is naturally hard to ignite and self-extinguishes without melting onto the skin, unlike synthetic base layers.
Merino is a natural, renewable and biodegradable fibre. Sheep grow a new fleece every year, and a worn-out merino garment breaks down instead of shedding plastic microfibres.

What is this beanie hat best for?

Are merino wool socks good for walking boots?
Yes. Merino hiking socks cushion your feet, wick sweat and keep insulating when damp, which helps reduce the moisture that leads to blisters on long days in boots.
Do merino socks keep feet warm in winter?
Yes. Merino traps warm air even when your feet sweat, so it keeps toes warmer than cotton socks in cold, wet conditions.
What size merino socks should I buy?
Choose your size from the size guide. If you are between two sizes, pick the larger size for boots and the smaller one for trainers.
What is a merino neck gaiter used for?
A neck gaiter (snood) can be worn as a neck warmer, face cover, headband or beanie, so it replaces several accessories for cycling, skiing, running and walking the dog on cold mornings.
How do I wash merino socks, beanies and boxers?

Bought it at the end of winter so didn't get a chance to test it in a very cold environment. It does feel warm though and more wind resistant than traditional wool beanies. I don't like the shape of it out the box but expect it might improve over time with wearing and washing it. I think for the price it's a good product.

I bought three beanies . One for me, (I use to sleep in on cold winter nights) two for my brother. I'm enjoying mine because it's soft, lightweight and warm. I'd read years ago both men and women slept in nightcaps. Works great for me!

I previously found a really wonderful Merino beanie in Helsinki at the art event last summer on the island, and no sooner that it was back in the United States that I lost it and I felt terrible that one was much nicer than this but this is a really really great beanie it's fine wall that does its job and it's clean efficient and neat.
