Men's Merino Wool Button-Up Long Sleeve

The Merino Wool Button-Up Long Sleeve is designed for those who value comfort, performance, and refined style in one essential piece. Premium Merino wool delivers outstanding thermoregulation, naturally adjusting to your body temperature to keep you warm in cooler conditions and comfortably cool when activity increases. Breathable fibres allow continuous airflow, preventing overheating throughout the day.

This fabric efficiently wicks moisture away from the skin, keeping you dry and comfortable in changing environments. Natural odour resistance helps maintain freshness even after extended wear. Exceptionally soft and hypoallergenic, the shirt feels gentle against the skin, while lightweight and compact construction makes it ideal for travel. Added elasticity supports natural movement, UV protection offers extra coverage, anti-static properties improve comfort, and eco-friendly materials ensure responsible quality.

The last t-shirt you will want to buy

Ultrafine merino in a relaxed everyday cut. Cool in summer, warm under a jacket and odour-free after days of wear — which is why it is our best-selling piece.

THE FABRIC

Why merino wool

01Moisture wicking

Merino wool moves sweat away from your skin as vapour and lets it evaporate from the fabric, so you stay dry and comfortable whether you are hiking, commuting or skiing.

02Odour resistant

Merino fibres naturally resist the bacteria that cause odour, so you can wear a base layer for several days, on the trail or while travelling, and it still smells fresh.

03Insulates when wet

Wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet. In damp British weather it keeps insulating where cotton and polyester leave you cold.

04UV protection

Merino absorbs UV radiation: our lightweight layers offer UPF 25 and the midweight and heavyweight options UPF 50+, handy on long days in the hills.

05Flame resistant

Merino wool is naturally hard to ignite and self-extinguishes without melting onto the skin, unlike synthetic base layers.

06Renewable

Merino is a natural, renewable and biodegradable fibre. Sheep grow a new fleece every year, and a worn-out merino garment breaks down instead of shedding plastic microfibres.

FAQ

Men's merino T-shirts, polos & shirts: FAQ

What is this long sleeve shirt best for?

It is made for work and travel. Like all our merino, it stays warm when damp and resists odour, so you can wear it for longer between washes.

Is a merino T-shirt good in hot weather?

Yes. Lightweight merino breathes, moves sweat away and keeps you cooler and drier than cotton, and it offers natural UV protection, which makes it ideal for summer, travel and warm-weather hiking.

Does a merino T-shirt smell after exercise?

Much less than cotton or polyester. Merino resists odour-causing bacteria, so you can wear the same T-shirt for several days of travel or back-to-back training sessions.

How do merino T-shirts and polos fit?

They have a relaxed everyday fit and are true to size. If you prefer a closer athletic fit, size down. See the size guide.

Can I wear a merino polo or shirt to work?

Yes. The polos and button-up shirts look like smart everyday shirts, stay fresh through long days and resist wrinkles in a suitcase, which is why they are popular for business travel.

How do I stop a merino T-shirt getting holes?

Wash it inside out at 30°C on a gentle cycle, dry it flat, and avoid rough rucksack straps and velcro rubbing the same spot. Store it clean and folded to keep moths away.

Great wool, but.

I like them. They're soft. They're warm... But I was told they keep me cool when I'm hot. Something to do with wool's ability to absorb vapor but mostly reject liquid. It's not that I overheated; far from it. In fact, I'm still a little impressed at the way I warmed a little and stayed that temperature. But what I need for summer is probably flax linen, not wool. Very different materials. Also, they're not perfectly anti-itch. My skin can get sensitive sometimes, and when it does I feel the tip of a fibre here and there.
